Account Setup
Get started with Crowd.Credit in three steps: connect your wallet, link your CrowdProof identity, and complete KYC verification.
1. Connect Your Wallet
Crowd.Credit supports any EVM-compatible wallet through WalletConnect and direct browser extension integration.

To connect, click Connect Wallet on the Crowd.Credit app and select your preferred wallet. You will be prompted to sign a message to verify ownership -- this does not cost gas.
2. Link Your CrowdProof Identity
Crowd.Credit uses CrowdProof.id for decentralized identity and reputation scoring. If you already have a CrowdProof DID, it will be detected automatically when you connect your wallet.
New to CrowdProof?
If you do not have a CrowdProof identity, the Crowd.Credit onboarding flow will create one for you:
- After wallet connection, click Create Identity
- Sign the DID registration transaction (small gas fee on your chosen network)
- Your DID is anchored on-chain via the
DIDRegistrycontract - Your initial reputation score is calculated from your wallet's on-chain history
Existing CrowdProof Users
If your wallet already has a CrowdProof DID, your existing reputation score, credit history, and tier status carry over automatically. No additional steps are required.
3. Complete KYC Verification
To access credit lines and physical cards, identity verification is required. This is a one-time process.
What You Need
- Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID)
- A selfie for liveness verification
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or government correspondence dated within 90 days)

Processing Time
- Basic: Instant
- Verified: Typically under 5 minutes (automated)
- Full: 1-2 business days (manual review for proof of address)
Privacy
All KYC data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Documents are stored in compliance with applicable data protection regulations and are never shared with third parties without your consent. Your on-chain identity (CrowdProof DID) remains pseudonymous -- KYC data is linked off-chain only.
